How To Install Wireless Alarm Sensors On Double Hung Windows

Honeywell's 5811 Thin Door/Window Contact Transmitter virtually disappears when installed next to standard door/window transmitters. It is ideal for casement and double-hung windows. The 5811 provides a single zone of protection, and installs easily on doors or windows with the included mounting hardware.

Hi, I recently purchased a Concord Ultra system. Thankfully I haven't purchased too many sensors, because I've ran into a problem that I hadn't anticipated. All the windows in my house are double-hung vinyl windows, and I assumed that one sensor would take care of each window (I've got 32 windows), i. 900 Cau Hoi Thi Nail Phan 4. e.

Sensor on one pane and magnet on the other pane, so if either pane was moved the cicuit would trip. While there is enough space to install the sensor on the horizontal sash, I don't appear to have enough space to install the magnet on the other pane. I originally planned on using NX454, but the magnet won't fit. I then thought I'd use recessed sensors instead, but the NX458 sensor is 1.75'W and the sash width is 1'W. I assume other people have encountered this issue, so hopefully there is a sensor that will work, as I really don't want to use two sensors on each window (extra $1K right there). Does anyone know if the micro-sensors fit a double-hung window? Regards, Henry.
